A SOCIAL AND ITINERANT WINEMAKING PROJECT

Discover Our Wines

Our wines are the result of collaborations with peasant realities and artisan producers. We produce unfiltered, spontaneous fermentation wines by buying grapes at a fair price and renting space in cellars, promoting a connection between virtuous farmers and small wineries.

Riobò

riobo(1)

Rosè sparkling wine

RIOBÒ is the result of the collaboration between Vite Sparse and Bergianti Vino (Terrevive). It’s a blend of sorbara and uva oliva, which refermented in the bottle using frozen must. It’s an easy-drinking wine characterized by its freshness and wild strawberry flavor.

Why Riobò

“Three little houses with pointed roofs, a small green meadow, a thin stream: Rio Bò.” When a romantic seventy years old vineyard is added to this imaginary portrait, Aldo Palazzeschi's poem Riobò, turns into Casalpriore, Gabriele Ronzoni in San Martino Rio (Bò) and becomes real.

The collaboration – Az. Agr. Terrevive

Biodynamic and social farm, their wines are among our favorites in their area. We were so thrilled when Gianluca, head of Bergianti vino contacted us and showed us the old semibelussi vineyard in Casalpriore. What started as a collaboration, quickly evolved into a friendship.

CAMPOREALE - VALLE DEL BELICE

Sherpa

Sherpa Logo

White wine

SHERPA is the result of the collaboration between Vite Sparse and the Valdibella Cooperative. It’s a pure Catarratto fermented on its skins for seven days and aged, for eleven months, in a steel tank. It’s a Mediterranean wine characterized by its richness and a tiny hint of aromaticity

Why Sherpa

Sherpas are high altitude guides and porters who support strangers on Himalayan expeditions. Likewise, Massimiliano, Nino, Salvatore and all the people of Valdibella accompanied us to discover the territory of Camporeale. Sherpa is the incarnation of our collaboration, a wine to be pursued, sip after sip, in its climb towards an increasingly intriguing drinking.

The collaboration - Cooperativa Valdibella

The Valdibella Cooperative has been trying for many years to unhinge the social stratifications that dominate the territory by restoring dignity to farmers, fighting exploitation and promoting the reintegration of disadvantaged people into the workplace. This is why we have chosen to make in their cellars with Salvatore Zappardo's grapes.

VOLPEDO - TERRE DEL BARÉ

Miscela

MISCELA

White wine

Miscela is a wine by Vite Sparse, created in collaboration with Terre del Barè.
A unique blend of Cortese, Favorita, Fior d’Arancio, Timorasso, and Verdea, made in an oxidative style. The grapes undergo a four-day maceration, left whole, stems included. Then, the wine matures for twenty-four months.
Every sip reveals something new—complex, ever-changing, and boldly unconventional.

Why "Miscela" (Blend)?

Even in good, a trace of its opposite can be found. The Timorasso grape, once a key player in bringing fame to the Colli Tortonesi, is now dominating the region, overshadowing other native varieties. Miscela is a true celebration of diversity, bringing together local grapes and giving each of them equal space to shine.

The Collaboration – Terre del Baré

The grapes of the Repregosio family, cultivated with love and simplicity for generations, find their natural expression in the winemaking process at Terre del Baré, under the care of Maurizio Lugano.
A pioneer of organic farming, Maurizio, together with his partner Mariella, has built a rural haven where, for nearly fifty years, agriculture and ideals have walked hand in hand.
And as a side note—they also grow the best peaches in the world.

CAMPOREALE - COOPERATIVA VALDIBELLA

Balla

BALLA e1744105650934

Red wine

Balla is the second wine from Vite Sparse made in collaboration with Cooperativa Valdibella. Nero d’Avola with a touch of Nerello Mascalese. Stainless steel only, no oak. Four days of maceration, followed by eighteen months of aging. Fresh and juicy, with notes of cherry and vibrant tension.

Why “Balla”

One scorching afternoon in Ballarò, between grilled stigghiole and cold beers, we were chatting with some tourists who claimed that in Sicily, fresh and elegant wine can only come from Mount Etna. That’s nonsense. We wanted to prove them wrong.

The collaboration - Cooperativa Valdibella

For years, Cooperativa Valdibella has been working to dismantle the social hierarchies that dominate the region, restoring dignity to farmers, fighting exploitation, and supporting the reintegration of disadvantaged youth into the workforce.
That’s why we chose to vinify the grapes of Antonio Accardo, a proud member of the cooperative, right there.

Opposto

opposto2 (1) (1)

Red wine

OPPOSTO is the result of the collaboration between Vite Sparse and Tenuta Belvedere. It’s a Croatina which fermented on its skins for fourteen days and aged, for nine months, in a grès amphora. It’s a full-bodied wine characterized by a ripe yet fresh fruity note.

Why Opposto

When Vite Sparse was still just a dream, our goal was to make a wine with low alcohol content and ready to drink. However, having to interpret the territory immediately made us change our minds, ending up making a wine that was the opposite (“opposto” in Italian) of what we had thought.

The collaboration - Tenuta Belvedere

Gianluca Cabrini, Tenuta Belvedere's owner, is a dynamic and tenacious winemaker who has bet on high-quality agriculture. His commitment to the proposing a different perspective of Oltrepò Pavese's wines is what made us fall in love with him. Opposto is the manifest of Vite Sparse and Gianluca shared vision.

What is Vite Sparse

The Project

We took it into our heads to make wine without having a vineyard or a cellar, buying grapes grown with respect for the soil and the environment and making wine at local wineries that share an idea of wine as an expression of the territory and a promoter of conviviality.
